Sarah Palin – More Rouge than Rogue

It’s funny my reaction to Palin announcing she will not run for President in 2012.

I wouldn’t call myself a Palin fan by any stretch of the imagination but I will admit that I have been fascinated by her since she first appeared on the national scene as John McCain’s running mate.

But this fascination was anything but admiration because just about everything she has done has been a turn off to me.

And yet….

When she made the announcement yesterday that she wasn’t going to run I felt an unexpected kind of let down.

I think it’s because I’m a woman.  And I just kind of hated to see the first woman who ever had the kind of support she had as a serious Presidential candidate just throw it all away.  Just like that! Just like it never even meant that much!

I hate to see any woman turn out to be that big of a flake and Sarah, in the final analysis, completely and totally ‘flaked out!

BIGTIME!

Did she ever, even for one moment, really want to be President? It makes me sad. It makes me sad that there was a woman, any woman,  who had a chance to be the first woman President, not that I wanted her to be mind you, but that she had a chance and blew it so badly!

She didn’t even fight for it.  She didn’t even fight for all her adoring supporters and fans and donors!  She was spineless. Michele Bachmann, with all her wackiness, at least has the balls to try. In the end, Bachmann has more balls than Sarah!

Now…there’s something to write home about! Bachmann’s balls!

If I were Bachmann I would be posing right now holding my gun and my foot on Palin lying on the ground in a ‘Moose Pose’.

(figuratively speaking of course)

And now Palin will fade away just like so many others before her. The only difference in them and her is that in their place in history they will have been viewed as a contender instead of a ‘pretender’.

I’m sure John and Cindy McCain had a great big laugh over it.

Turns out it was all rouge and no rogue!
